Good morning everybody. How was your weekend?

Friday night, went to the pho place for some supper then in for the night to rest.
Saturday, up way too early to get to the stadium way too early to celebrate. My only complaint is I didn't bring a cushion to sit on. The out to the Lighthouse for lunch.
Sunday, super lazy day.

Fri - had to work, and was hungover. It was cold and it sucked. Stayed in Fri night for redhead things.
Sat - slept in due to dealing with cold I caught probably from working out in the elements the day before. Hung out with all the kiddos. Low country boil engagement party for younger brother who finally let someone get their hooks into him. Good food and good time.
Saun - slept in due to dealing with cold. Miserable. Ran a few errands with the middle kid. Finally put up Christmas decorations and went through old paperwork for a couple hours in the evening. Crazy life I lead, I tell ya.
Could have been worse. 6.5/10.

Pretty meh. Mostly football. Decided to watch the parade on TV.
Lousy weather, no exciting culinary activities got in a few naps.

Doesn't take much without any ballast on the back, I found out. I guess they put seat belts on them for a reason.

That wouldn't have been good, but yeah was buckled in + ROPS. The other tractor didn't have the ROPS "installed".

Kind of surprising how unstable a loaded bucket can make the little tractor.

First quiet-ish weekend in a while.

Friday: long lost fran from Charlotte happened to be in the area for a job interview, so got to grab dinner with him and then we hung out by the firepit at another fran's house and drank whiskey. First time I'd seen that feller in 15 or 16 years. We both look great, thanks for asking.
Saturday: dropped Dad off at Infiniti to pick up his car that I did $20K+ of damage to Carolina weekend--only took 7 weeks to replace the oil pans and front spoiler. Even if they SAY it's fine, he doesn't like the idea of driving this car anymore, and he's looking to trade up. Went to Costco--full on zoo. Home, and made sweet, sweet love to my couch for the rest of the evening.
Sunday: nothin. Ran up to Palmetto Moon to grab the 3 State newspaper prints for framing later. Also kopped this, since it was only $15:

chill weekend at home

worked later than planned on friday, went downtown to Mast General to return a shirt I didn't try on when I got it, got 2 others in it's place. Wanted to go to the Vault to check out Natty gear, but had to go pick up my tax deductions from after-school care
Saturday, watched parade....housework/yardwork til it rained/foosball on TV...SheGUAR went out to dinner w/ frand, so I caught up on some TV on the couch.
Sunday, more of the same, minus the yardwork. Got most of the holiday decor down and most of that boxed up. The boxes and remaining unpacked items are still all over the living room....watched season finale of Ray Donovan, fell asleep before I could even start True Detective.
On day 6 of Dry-ish January-ish (cracked last beer right after natty win), but I may stray this evening. We'll see

Friday, 7 days post doctor visit for this chest crud. Still Chitty
Sitting in office coughing up lung, felt sharp pain in left side. torn cartilage in rib. GOOD TIMES.
Nearly passed out.
Saturday, drugs. heating pad on ribs, trying not to cough, but trying not to fill lungs and get pneumonia. Slept. Coughed, passed out. Repeat.
Sunday......repeat.
Monday. Still not dead. cough not quite as bad. rib just as bad. I find that if I get on my hands and knees when I cough its not as far down when I pass out. THATS gonna go over super at the office.
Other than THAT Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
Fine.

Friday, took off to check on RH Mom after work since Sis went to Clemson for the parade. Got her settled in, then home to do double dog duty since Joonyer was heading to Atlanta. Played with pups inside because rain, made chicken tortilla soup, drank a few quality beers, probably watched something on TV but I don't remember what, then tried to get some sleep in the midst of two dogs playing the game 'Let's See Who Can get Their Anus Directly in RH Tig's Face' all night.
Saturday, woke up and drank coffee, started to rotation of dogs out to pee, then FINALLY started getting Christmas decorations taken down, boxed up, and stored. Since Mom-in-law has moved to rehab and is doing very good, I was able to corral Mrs. to get that done since she is very picky about how Christmas things are stored, as opposed to my method of toss everything in the freaking garbage and stop the insane practice decorating the house to celebrate Jesus' love of retail commercialism. Spent the rest of the day doing house chores, because cleaning up Christmas decorations somehow makes a bigger mess than putting up decorations. Took both pups for their walks, then started Mojo chicken & rice in crock pot, Joonyer came to pick up his pup, then started drinking beers. Ate, drank a few quality beers, probably watched something on TV but I don't remember what, then crashed.
Sunday, lazy morning, then grocery run and other assorted errands, then long walk with the pup. Pup decided to roll in some type of mud-feces mixture she found in the woods, and the stank was absolutely horrific. Cold and wet outside, so gave her a bath in the tub. She's not a water-loving dog, so it pretty much becomes a wrestling match with a feral animal and requires national championship caliber defensive line play to keep her contained in the backfield. Once that was done, it was off to help Mrs. set up her new computer. She needs one for work, but I swear her comfort level for technology is pretty much chiseling petroglyphs into the side of the cave. Once that was done, I didn't bother with beers or casual cocktails...it was time for a few shots of hard party liquor, some supper, and collapse into the Big Chair.
Kinda glad the weekend is over. Wasn't horrible, wasn't spectacular...it was pretty much one of those typical Tommy Bowden wins over an inferior team that was probably closer than it needed to be because we were playing to their level.

Friday night went out to Local Pub and Eatery on the lake for the first time. Really good food, had bacon wrapped salmon that was delicious. Will be returning via boat this spring/summer/fall, they have a really nice outdoor eating area and a dock.
Amazingly woke up early Saturday not hung over. Drove the tractor down the road and helped move some big logs and brush piles Sat morning, then went back home to drink beer and watch football. Which is what I did for the entirety of the rest of the day, and I wish I could rewind and relive it.
Beat the church crowd to downtown Clemson Sunday morning, had lunch at Charleston Pub. McLovin they have the best chicken fingers around I think. Seriously, maybe the best I've ever had. And they'll cook them in the wing sauces. Shopped for some natty swag, then went back home to continue doing nothing. Was glorious, but I'm ready for warmer weather now.

of the house with kids (read me yelling at them to clean their #### up). Fixed son's bike, already broken from Christmas. Flushed the tankless hot water heater. +10F on the temp as a result.
Sunday, cleaned more for FIL's bday party. Cooked 15 steaks on the grill for aforementioned bday party. Had what I just told grandpaw we had for supper. Went and saw dad. He was aware we won the NC. Was mad I didn't take him. Explained that I didn't even go (nor could I take him anyway).

Man, let me tell you about this weekend of mine.
Jan 14, 2019, 10:55 AM
|
|
Friday evening - Not a whole lot. Homework.
Saturday - Continued bike riding lessons for lilmissgrouching. Girl can't just get the concept I'm not going to let go of the bike until she's ready. So she spends the majority of her time looking for me instead of looking in front of her and pedaling at .000000001 miles per hour, which isn't helping her balance much. Patience is a virtue, serenity now, yada yada yada.
Sunday - Watched some football and out to dinner with father in law and family. Watched the first episode of True Detective's new season, which wasn't bad. Much closer to season 1's setup than the atrocity known as season 2. Followed that up with Netflix's new documentary on the legend of Bill Murray's random appearances. Dew recommend, very entertaining.
All in all, 10/10, cause the Natty ain't even a full week old yet.

We kept the training wheels on too long and she got way too many bad habits from them (balance, no need to put a foot down when you stop, pace, etc). Going to have to break all of those first.
If we end up having a second kid, they will never know training wheels. Ever.

Good, Friday kept it pretty low key. Had a good beer haul. Watched some LivePD and cooked a steak and a tater.
Saturday, met up with cmfreeman® at 929 Kitchen in Columbia. We ate some and drank some, and then went down to Craft and Draft and drank more. Good times with a good dude. Later on, another buddy came to town and we drank more, ate steak and played Madden like the olden times. I was out by 8.
Sunday, many chores and a few beers. Watched The Purge prequal, which was pretty awful. Had barbecue for lunch at Midwood. For dinner, cooked steak for the 3rd time in 3 days.
