that "politics" are involved in about everything in our lives, even who gets to use the bathroom first in a household of ten with only a pot to share.
Despite idealistic proclamations otherwise, I believe subtle politics have been involved in every decision made by CFP Committees since day one. And those politics involve who the selection committee members are.
Boo Corrigan of N.C. State is the current chair; Jim Grobe, formerly the Wake H,C. is a member. Both have their own allies, if you will, on board. Last night, the ACC Commissioner made a matter-of-fact, sternly-worded statement about FSU's inclusion, words I am certain the Committee heard, including Corrigan and Grobe.
Thus, I won't be surprised to see FSU included, which they should, and in the long run, for Corrigan and Grobe to have been the most vocal in support. Then again, I might be surprised otherwise! lol
… to believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. We considered that to be a science dictum … and indeed it is … but have learned that he was referring to all of life and politics in particular.
Yes, politics will come into play today regarding the playoff team selections. My playoff teams would be Michigan, Washington, Florida State and Texas … but what do I know?
Liberty beat 6 bowl teams (6-0) whereas Georgia is 6-1 and Ohio State is also 6-1. Many would include the latter two … few would include Liberty. Politics.
