Anyone else ever notice that ALL pictures of Jesus

All have some reference to a sunrise in them? I mean, 2000 years ago, folks had no idea what that thing was, just that it would rise, bring warmth and salvation from the cold, predator-filled nights, and their crops would not grow without it. Beyond that, they were clueless. People back then decided to make the sun a person because they liked it/ him so much.

So the mere existence of the person Jesus Christ is a myth?
That’s an interesting historical take regardless of one’s belief in the deity of Jesus.

but no, I do not think he walked on water, healed the sick, was hung on the cross, and resurrected 3 days later. Those parts are mad up. And after a 2000-year game of telephone among the clergy he is a trump supporter. I am just not buying that either.

He may not have been invented, but the story likely was copied from previous versions with other religions. I don't know why we are debating this in politics; I don't like trying to dissuade people's faith. But the virgin birth, death, resurrection, all that... that story existed before the Christian version.

It’s a little odd that you point to islam being violent (which it is) but ignore the violence your own diety doles out. The dude gets made at his own creation and drowns everyone, sicks bears to maul children form making fun of a bad guy, orders women and children to be killed (and for the virgins to be kept for yourself), not to mention allows the vast majority of all humans to be brutally tortured for eternity…
So it’s not the violence you care about clearly, the biblical faith is all about it

OK, I'll play.
Images depicted in artwork often have the sun, a halo or some other light behind their heads to portray their divinity. When these works of art were done, they most certainly knew what the sun was, or least had a pretty good idea. A lot of which were done around 500-600 years ago, not 2000.
In the case of Jesus, my guess would be that the artist was going with: "I am the way and the light".

I have never seen a picture of Jesus and am 100 percent positive that no one else on TigerNet has either. Paintings, drawings, etchings, yes. But an actual picture?
