I am on vacation and my neighbor says that he likes the Trail Boss I got and where did I get it. I tell him. Blah blah. He then texts me and says “how much you want”. I give him a number.
He says, “deal”. I get back we go to bank. Wham bam thank you ma’am (or sir).
I then go to local Toyota shop and they say all their TRD 4Runners are made to build and 6 months out. No thanks.
Hop online and look at Chicago area and they have a ton ready right now. I go over the hop skip and jump and drive home with this dude. I love it.
I am not a fan of the factory TRD Pro roof rack as it’s useless. So I am going to do the flat rack and then I can still strap up a cooler and also use my ski racks with the right accessory.
Winner winner. Chicken dinner.

They still have any of the 40th anniversary ones for sale with the cool stripes?
I like it tho. Rented an off-road model a few years ago in Denver and drove it to telluride. ended up doing a couple technical mountain passes and it was a champ in the rocks.
