I started another thread on this before I saw this one. I'm a little skeptical that they are going to compile and bunch of stories, put them in a way overpriced book and then try and sell them to all of the alumni. I answered all of their questions, but told them I needed time to think of some stories.

I took the call and it was fine and all but I had a colorful time at Clemson which I wasn't divulging to a stranger much less going to have published. They offered up three different chances to buy this book all of which I turned down. I won't be so unkind as to call it a grift but it's kinda like those Who' Who of American High Schools that were published in the 90s. The only people that will buy it will be people who have their story in it and I wouldn't be surprised that only if you buy it will you be guaranteed that your story will be in it.

They keep pestering me with those cards. They demand you call and tell your story. They won't let you email your submission, insist on phone call.
Why can't I just email it in. Something is fishy. Not for me.
