Absolutely. Three more years of having one side of the field locked down.

I can't wait to see this young man get some playing time. I am not expert, but he looks really good.

It's easy for a lot of us to forget Mack was injured

his Freshman year and redshirted. So when he finally got to play he had a year of the playbook and film to study and he loved watching film. That was his idea of a Friday or Saturday night. Maybe Mullen can step right in and play I don't know. I would think it would be hard not coming til 2nd session and he could stand a few more helpings at the table. I think he definitely has the potential to be a great player at that position and we need it!

He's 6'2 170 lbs. Hope he's eating plenty of peanut butter

It will be interesting to see his weight during fall camp. If he can get to 185 lbs or more, he'll have a chance to play. If he isn't, it will be hard for him to see the field IMO.

Agreed, he's much more Adrian Baker than Mackensie Alexander, and that's not a knock on the former. He's long, athletic, and raw. If anyone is going to have a Mack-like impact, it's going to be Mark Fields. Physically, he's there, and with a year under his belt, his knowledge & awareness are improved. I expect big things from him this year.

Peanut butter has actually been proven to slow down the digestive system and be very slow digesting, which in turn slows down muscle growth. So maybe almond butter instead..

Alot of body development just has to do with age and maturing. Getting in to a collegiate strength and conditioning program where your hips and legs are trained constantly, that's where size comes in. Alot of these kids do elementary workouts before college, the kind of stuff you find on the Internet where you are just doing static lifts.

Once he is developing his whole body, this kid is going to be a stud

Yea, he does look a little thin. I think he'll struggle some
his 1st year in press coverage. But should still have a
solid freshman campaign. I see 2017 being "HIS" break out yr.

The 170 isn't a bad thing at 6'2". Mac was "small" too in comparison. So is Fields. He isn't getting hit like a WR. He is dishing out the punishment. I would suggest hitting the weight room and developing strength, especially in the legs...take away that loft pass option on the goal line.....

He was in line to start before he got hurt though

although we'll never know if he would've been as good as a true freshman as he was the next season.

He will be a blessing if hes even half of what Mack was

Jun 1, 2016, 8:27 AM

But i have a feeling he will end up being Mack 2.0

We got two good years out of Mac. Let's get three out of Trayvon.

We needed Trayvon and going against WRU in practice

Jun 1, 2016, 8:52 AM

Must help develop a CB in the same was as getting thrown into the deep end of the pool as a 7 year old. Sink or swim an I have a feeling that he will swim like a champion.

I don't know how this crew pulls out these top recruits to replace a need every year like Mullen and Wilkens. I believe Clemson will reward Trayvon(career/draft status) over any other place he was looking at.

I can't wait to hear how Brent replaced so much NFL talent again and became a top defense. This defense will be smoking by mid season and ready to put the smack-Down on FSU.

It's strange but I'm going with my same prediction I had last year. 15-0 National Championship!!

I guess it looks bleak for 2017 without Superman. I will miss Deshaun but don't feel sorry for these New Dominant dynasty Tigers who are always in it.

Go Tigers!!

He's a phenomenal prospect, but physically, he still has a ways to go. On defense, CB is probably the hardest transition from HS to college (likewise college to NFL). I'm eager to see how he competes against our WRs this summer and into the fall.
