Dear Al,
I am totally beside myself in disgust at the 2 UNCALLED Head-to-Head TARGETINGS against Clemson’s RB WILL SHIPLEY in the Oct28/NC-St & Nov11/GATech games.
It just makes me SICK that these were ignored my the Field and The Booth – and subsequently BY YOU.
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Why no public Apology press release by you expressing your sorrow and dedication to make changes so this NEVER happens again?
We are talking about our PLAYERS’ LIVES.
If I had the ability to fire you, I would do so immediately.

WILL SHIPLEY on the 2 UNCALLED TARGETINGS (w/VIDS) that hurt him in this 11-11-23 GA Tech game, and another one in the 10-28-23 NC State game. UNCONSCIONABLE why the ACC Ref guys up in the booth did nothing about these (either one), even if the on-field refs missed them – they see the same TV replays that we do.

The thing that bothers me most about Refereeing is, they don’t seem to answer to anyone, ever.
What other multi-billion dollar businesses answer to no one? It’s a banana republic dictator mentality.
Coaches answer. Players answer. AD’s answer. Even college Presidents and sometimes BOT’s answer.
Officials??? Silence…….with an extra large dose of entitled omnipotence.
The customers, the consumers, the people that pay for this multi-billion dollar business are left to draw their own conclusions, because the people in charge (officials) can’t be bothered to answer a straight forward question like, “what was that”?
Well, if you leave me to draw my own conclusions, no problem. Here ya go.
1. The officials don’t care.
2. The officials don’t care that they don’t care.
3. The officials are corrupt and they won’t explain their actions, because their actions would implicate them in a crime, such as bribery and game fixing.
