Looks like the low country’s getting some more good ‘que

Kind of embarrassing that a Tennessee feller is bringing whole hog back where it all started.

Why is it embarrassing?***

We'll see how they do...

Restaurants have a tough time staying open on that stretch of Folly Road for some reason. Even the good ones

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'd say the fact that Folly Rd. sucks as far as getting

May 7, 2019, 8:35 AM

in and getting out of places goes.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Folly rd sucks in general.

Looks like a cool spot, but I’m not going out of Mt P for it.

Maybe when we are over that way in June I’ll make a pit stop

Get it? Pit stop?***

I like the Lowdown over there. I hope they continue to do well.

Only restaurant I've ever seen that has MGD on the menu

and they were out the one time I went

lulz..I guess this kinda stuff is a big deal now

From the article:

"They made their own fire, shined their own shoes, changed their own oil."

And probably laid their own gravel, too.

You mean millennial hipsters don't, or can't, do these sorts of things?

This has nothing to do with their BBQ; I've never had it, so I have no idea how good it is. I just thought that quote was kinda funny.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

they might as well have said

May 8, 2019, 9:08 AM

They pee standing up, don't walk together under the same umbrella, know how to change a flat tire.

And probably engage in coitus with members of the opposite sex, too.

Saw this yesterday, still not sure how I missed that

May 7, 2019, 9:05 AM

this was happening. Pat did a few of the CBWS BBQs (2015-2016, I think), and that's some good pig. I don't see myself driving all the way to JI for it more than once though. Scott's is closer, and most of his stuff is probably better (admittedly, Martin's has a lot of stuff I haven't tried yet).

Pretty sure Martin's was there the year I was there.***

Lol.

Plenty of whole hog BBQ in Manning. BBQ capital of SC IMHO.

And at $16/lb it's not cheep. I imagine you'd have to charge a premium near Charleston, to soak the Yankees.

But then I'd have to go to Manning.***
