How many times in the last several years did the freshmen come in and look good; only to get worse the longer they stayed at Clemson?

TL even regressed with mechanics, footwork, etc. but had the "smarts" to work with a QB guru in the offseason just as D.W. had done. Their immense talent and sheer will to win, rose above the Clemson death drip.

Last night, there were a few bright spots with freshmen, but they will continually get worse like XT, Bresee, etc. Our coaching takes immense talent, and makes it slower, fatter, complacent, and praises them the entire way. DLs that should have been top 10 draft picks were hoping to get a practice squad position the past few years. Peter Woods better transfer if he wants to be a first round pick in the NFL.

The receivers acutally played much better when Dabo was the recievers coach. Watch those guys block downfield and on screens, fight for balls, etc. vs now. That part of the job doesn't take elite receiver skills, it's coaching.

There is no way in H#LL, that Duke has better players (portal or not) than Clemson; yet they were pushing our guys around like we were high schoolers. I know they post alot of videos from the weight room, but do they actually know what they are doing? Is there any science involved? Or, is too much science involved?

Dabo needs to fire everyone 'cept Riley; hire the best that are available (based on scouts and not gut feelings), and stay out of their way and let them coach.

p.s. As long as Swanson is playing over Jack Smith; I know that DABO is NOT "ALL IN"

Dude, wow seriously you’re the only other one i’ve seen say this…. this is what i’ve been saying. Our players are declining when they hit campus! Trevor absolutely declined his junior year, but the talent around him, and the gap like you said was huge so it wasn’t as noticeable people will still deny it though. If you want to be really honest, DJ was everything he was actually advertised to be when he stepped on campus, and if you watch him those first few games his freshman year it was unbelievable what he did., they absolutely ruined him and his mechanics. You hit the nail on the head. We are bringing in a lot of talent and it’s just not producing and people that say well we just made mistakes and left points on the field. Have no idea what they’re talking about, that may be true, but there’s a deeper issue behind that that’s been brewing. I came on here before and said DJ and Trevor both declined because of coaching, stated how awful Streeter was, and how awful Elliot was and Oh my God was Elliot awful!! I got called a coot and was ran out lol. with all of that said, if you really want to get everybody in here and a staring panic, an angry tell him the truth like I did, we’re now it seems to many of our players in the NFL are having trouble staying healthy, which is a testament to coaching and strength and conditioning and they will tell you you’re crazy. I just wish people would realize you can still be a fan and be honest at the same time.
