An anomaly how Clemson got road housed by them. Been on a tear ever since.

It was early in the season and we still had a few pitchers banged up. We were still trying to piece together a Friday night starter. In a 3 game series with somewhat limited pitching you don’t want to burn through your bullpen the first game. At some point one of your pitchers has the ball for the rest of the game regardless of outcome. In the pros this is usually when you see a position player. It’s the equivalent of living to fight another day. You’ll see it happen often in the early game of a series.
Couple the pitching handcuffs with an offense that thought they could sleep walk through a win just bc it was a “small” school and it’s a perfect recipe for a blowout.
In the long run it’s probably one of the more beneficial losses I’ve seen. That game was a wake up call and this team has looked like the aggressor in every game since.

And sometimes odd things happen. I can tell our players moved on and forgot about it 5 minutes after it was over.

They have a good program at Kennesaw. My son’s team played them a few years ago and they are a solid team and program. Didn’t realize how large the school was until we went there. They’re One of those teams that you see on the schedule and say this should be a win, but they are good enough to win against top programs.

Just watch the MLB and NFL drafts. Georgia Tech makes a living of just recruiting Cobb County. They’ve put quite a few in the majors. THUGa has been known to have a good team once every 6 or 7 years..

I checked the KSU website earlier this morning. They beat Kentucky 13 -1. I didn't look real closely, but they seem.to make a habit of winning the first game of a series. They are currently 12. - 10
