The committee has sent a resounding message to college football fans everywhere.

The regular season does not matter (unless it bolsters your argument for SEC or Big)

Strength of schedule does not matter (unless it bolsters your argument for SEC or Big)

Conference Championship does not matter (unless it bolsters your argument for SEC or Big)

The conference you play in does not matter (unless it obviously SEC/BIG like come on dude, do you even
football?)

Last weeks rankings do not matter (even if you win they have no problem dropping you in the rankings,
unless you are in the SEC/BIG)

If your star QB is injured and unable to play your team will be unceremoniously dropped from playoff
participation (unless you are in SEC/BIG...looking at you Ohio State)

The preseason polls that are ridiculous and ridiculed by football fan everywhere, because how do you
rank a team that hasn't played a single down, will be chock full of SEC/BIG teams so the committee
can say X team from SEC/BIG won a top ten match up earlier in the season. Its a rigged system.

The committee was clear that as long as the networks and certain conferences are taken care of, they are free and clear. The network gets North, South, West coast and Mid West in playoffs..$$$$

If that patch on the front of the jersey has SEC/BIG you are golden... any other patch. Eh better luck next time.

I'm no fan of Florida State, they strut around this year like they were the only team that has ever achieved anything in the ACC and they have been carrying this league this whole time. Yeah whatever.
The thing is if we don't speak up when it happens to them, what if its us that it happens to next? Could you even imagine the gnashing of teeth if a Clemson undefeated conference champion team was locked out of the college playoffs? Who knows this whole scenario may be the catalyst that blows up all of college football.

College football has changed dramatically over the last several years. The people that grew up loving the game for the pageantry, tradition, amateur players and excitement of the college game are seen as dinosaurs now. I didn't grow up pulling for Clemson because they were sponsored by Nike, or Hooters or etc. I pulled for Clemson because that's where my Dad went to school and it was located in my home state. There is a reason I don't follow professional sports like I do the college game. Every time I invested myself in a professional team, my favorite player would end up getting traded or move on to another team. That is what college sports are becoming now.

Well enough ramblings of an old dinosaur.

Yep. A two-tier system. The answer for any decision is "it depends."***
