Importance of Twitter

I am sure most of you see that most of the interaction by recruits and information about them is done and found on the Tweeter.
Most of us, including myself, do not give a rats ### about Twittering, BUT I have noticed our recruits do and they notice the amount of support and attention they receive on there.
I have also noticed Clemson has a decent presence on there and I opened one myself just to chip it. If doing that plays even the smallest part in helping bring a fine young man and major talent to Tiger Town, I’m game.
What I guess I’m trying to say is, CHIP IN! These are different times and the amount of followers and support these guys get from Tiger faithful on social media actually plays a huge role, especially with the NIL now in effect. I see Tarholes and Leg humpers all over these recruits on the Twittersphere ALL DAY LONG, and while we do have a presence, it is not like some of our competition. Not in love with the idea, but that is exactly the pond we are swimming in now.
LETS SHOW THESE BOYS SOME LOVE!

Most of all information is controlled by 4 companies now, Twitter included. You may not realize it, but your world view is crafted every day by these companies and anyone who goes against that gets banned or booted. Go ahead, try to learn something and see how you run into the same four companies over and over again.

Thanks for posting this. You are absolutely correct. Social media will become a huge part of the nil.
Not like it's asking too much. You want to make political statements then go to the political section here and mouth all you want... But what's being asked here is to help Clemson atheletes. Nothing more, nothing less.

Based upon my belief system. I’m not changing my standards to try and convince some recruit to come to Clemson.
Just sit back for a moment and think how utterly ridiculous this current environment is. I will not support it but again, everyone has a choice to make. My position is this is a bigger issue culturally than some think and as such, I’m not buying into the madness.

I follow our guys on Twitter since the number of followers they have = more $$$ for them under NIL rules. Just doing what I can to help.

The reason for anyone saying Twitter isn’t a part of their belief is blasphemy to me you should also include the internet not being apart of your belief… The days of handwriting letters to recruits are over social media plays a huge part of intriguing any recruit to any school let alone Clemson nothing to do with politics this is the age of recruiting we are talking about kids that stay on social media live and learn through it…you say if they need to be followed on Twitter we don’t need them but if they are obviously offered by Dabo & CO I think we do… The belief or reasoning doesn’t make any sense these are new times sometimes change is good… A belief will leave you behind sounds like maybe some posting need find a new sport/ hobby to focus on the world is forever evolving it’s not about you it’s about these kids making decisions that will effect the rest of their lives and if the best way to give them insight and knowledge of a great university is through social media so be it… No hate towards your opinion but try to come from under your rock

You don't have to tweet, just follow them to give them numbers--and not just recruits, our current players as well.

EXACTLY!! You don’t have to talk to teenagers lol BUTTTT followers = dollars for these young men and that is going to play a huge role in recruiting now, like it or not…
That stubbornness or unwillingness to evolve with the times and do the little extra to help our alma mater is just going to hurt our Tigers. But hey, you were staunch with your beliefs, power to your people.

On a scale of 0-10, Twitter rates a “0” for me. It would have never occurred to me to check in with a billion strangers about anything ever.

Twitter suspended and blocked most of us that have different ethical and political opinions and that speak out against child-trafficking, socialism, big pharm, globalism and other hot topics that are near and dear to Jack Dorsey's heart. That being said, it does make a difference to the recruits if you can overlook the fleecing of our civil liberties.

And this I agree with, as well. You honestly have to make it about supporting our Tigers, and nothing else. Block out the bullstuff and get behind our guys! As strange as it seems, this is one of the biggest ways we can show support now!
