Dirty hits on KB...

I'm full expecting the lack of class on part of the Wolfpack to show in this game. IMO the game plan will be to knock Bryant out of the game, much like Gallman last year. I hope the boys are ready for a nasty game, it's time to unleash the big hitters.

Dabo needs to work the refs early.

He needs to have a talk with the Refs before the game to put them on notice. Knowing the ACC Refs, though, it probably won't help.

I'd rather D-Rad do the pre-game notice to the refs...

Let Dabo steer clear of them until absolutely necessary.

Kelly is going to have to protect himself while still remaining agressive. Luckily he hasn’t taken many big hits this year but he does tend to hold the ball to long and get sacked at times.
He needs to realize when the play is over and live to play another down. If they do try to lay some dirty hits on him I want one of our oline men to take issue with that. Don’t let them just destroy our players with no retaliation

KB has got to start taking off as soon as that pocket collapses. With his speed he could be getting more yards on the ground. DW was good at this and is the reason he didn't get sacked much.

Agree, a complete trash game from refs should be expected.

I never took it as bragging. Also didn't see it intentional.

It should have been a targeting call without a doubt. It was a dangerous play leading with the head. But football is also played at a much faster speed than Slow-Mo HD cameras. Watching that play, the defender was leading with the crown of his helmet, no debating that this is dangerous, and then Gallman lowers his shoulder and head as well. The defender was looking straight at the ground when they hit and Gallman's head wasn't in the same position that it was when the defender started to lead with the helmet. Had Gallman stayed in the same position as when the defender leads with the crown, he would have taken a crown to the chest instead of the chin.
As for bragging postgame, he obviously had to mention it, it was a big part of the game. If you think really think that Doeren is getting paid millions of state-funded dollars and telling unpaid athletes to go hurt someone, we're just never going to agree.

You actually couldn't be more wrong.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-93RuXmmimM
You can pause and watch for yourself, but the defender came in with his head up and then put it down and led with the crown. Now, you could argue that Gallman "ducked," which really means he was bracing for impact, but if the defender kept his head up the impact would have been lessened because he would have saw what he was hitting instead and potentially moved his head a bit.
Also, you're wrong that if Gallman didn't duck he would have took the crown to the chest (which would still be pretty horrible and could cause serious injury to both players), he would have then taken it to the arm or ribs, which still would have injured Gallman.

It was a bad tackle that should have drawn targeting

But I mean come on, there's no evidence he had intent to do that. Football is a fast sport.
Unless Muse is a dirty player because he did the same thing to Lamar Jackson and go ejected. Runners get hit in the helmet downfield accidentally.

how many targets, chop blocks, and cheap shots ACC refs can miss when pulled on Clemson on us and the phantom junk they invent to call against us. That and the general reviews of plays that should have been obvious initially. These guys get worse every year

This is a man's sport, and the refs will set the tempo with their whistles.
If they let the game be chippy, then the game will be chippy. Clemson will just have to out chip them.

1) Trash talk is a staple among rivals/fans of opposing teams in most all sports in America.
2) Calling NC State dirty is like saying the sky is blue, facts are facts.

This is one of those game where you just use the phrase "Do unto others, BEFORE they do unto you"
