How many out there are REALLY ALL IN.

Jul 27, 2012, 3:48 PM

I mean you are 100% behind this team and BELIEVE great things are here and going to stay. You don't let recruting worry you or OL questions because you just know our players and coaches are woking their behinds off 150% to be the best we can be.

Are you going to Atlanta? Tally? Or other away games and going with an attitude that Clemson is going to win? Are you going to pack Death Valley with 80,000 even against the likes of Ball State? That is called a change in culture. You see it at Alabama, LSU, Florida and other top, elite teams. Their fans are there for the team ALL the time.

You feel good about your team and your are behind them. That has been what Clemson has been lacking for 20 years until Dabo showed up. He has a plan. He has a vision. Lord, he has a vision. Not just beating the Coots or winning the ACC--but the National Championship. Big -time!

He works his behind off. His staff works its behind off. Our players work their behinds off. It's time for some of our fans who have not been pulling their weight to work their hinds off too and get firmly behind this team and program. Something special is coming to Clemson. Are you going to be in the forefront helping this thing be born or sit in the shadows thinking things will never be good or great?

I cannot wait for this season? I will be in Atlanta to get this Orange Machine rolling. Will you? This is going to be a fun year!

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I stopped being all in early in the TB era. I'm now hopeful

Jul 27, 2012, 4:19 PM

and cautiously optimistic, but I stopped really going all in a long time ago. It simply hurts too much to be overly emotionally invested in CU sports. Besides, it's not rational, especially for an adult. I still get excited before games and I want us to do well and win, but I go into every game knowing anything is possible. We simply never know which Clemson is going to show up, which is why it's better, smarter, less painful to hope for the best, but expect anything. It still hurts when we lose, but not as much. And it helps me enjoy wins more.

I hope one day I can be as excited as I use to be and always have high expectations, but that won't happen until we put together a few seasons where we look well coached on the field, are no longer getting blown out, esp by inferior talent, and playing consistent, not just game to game, but year to year.

^ turn that frown upside down

grab a beer and root for the acc champs!

my glass is full...we're back man!

coaches, players, atmosphere...we're headed in the right direction, fasho

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm excited before every game and always pull for us to win

Jul 27, 2012, 5:15 PM

but I'm not going to be all in till Clemson deserves it. I've given them too much of my heart and emotions already. Hurts too much to be all in and it's not rational.

you sure you didn't stop being all in when we lost df? i know a couple of my cousins did, and they haven't been as happy with clemson since, (sound familiar). we were the 5th best team in the country during the decade of the 80's and i enjoyed the heck out of it, but i'll never lose hope that we will return to that lofty position.

for us to play near our potential, not well below it.

I was a big supporter of every coach we have had except Dabo

Jul 27, 2012, 5:25 PM [ in reply to Re: I stopped being all in early in the TB era. I'm now hopeful ]

and I thought Hatfield, West, and TB were good hires. Hatfield turned out to be a poor fit and poor recruiter. I think West had potential, but was not great at recruiting and the cupboard was bare when he got here. TB turned out to be a farce and as we all now know, RichRod was the key to his success at Tulane and early success at Clemson. TB did, however, rebuild the program and improve the facilities and recruiting. Had he been better a staff management he could have been more successful and might still be here.

I felt after TB and West both failed it was time to stop taking risks with inexperienced head coaches and bring in a more proven and seasoned commodity. Instead we did the opposite. I have always said Dabo had potential, but he won't get my devotion until he proves himself by putting together 2 or 3 consistent seasons and we look better coached and more prepared on the field.

Re: I was a big supporter of every coach we have had except Dabo

Jul 27, 2012, 5:44 PM

IMHO Dabo will be fine soon; maybe this year... last year was the first for our Off and this year is our first for the DEF.. I do agree that @ TIMES we did not look well-coached but again coaches need time..what I simply can not stand is our lines getting pushed around game after game and our L/B`s and D/b`s not ready when the ball is snapped.. time after time they were talking and pointing after the other team was running a play!!that MUST BE GONE now!!!!!!!!!

the West hire went about like I feared. they tried Danny light and it was very very light. almost nonexistently light

Re: How many out there are REALLY ALL IN.

I have been ALL IN for 31 years and counting. Now I have a daughter that has been ALL IN for 4 years and counting and a wife that really likes Clemson. My daughter has a Clemson teddy bear we called CJ and Clemson pillow pet she named Sammy. When we met CDS she picked up her teddy bear and, "hey coach this is CJ!". CDS was grinning ear to ear.
