If you're planning to Uber to/from the game on Saturday.....

Oct 5, 2022, 2:59 PM

In 2018, I stayed in Concord at a Hampton Inn or something like that - very reasonable rates. Not being familiar with the area I decided to Uber to/from the game. The fare to the campus was also reasonable - maybe $20 or so. The campus is a pedestrian campus (the stadium is in the middle of the campus) and thus there are only a couple of Uber pick up points - they're a little hard to find and not close to the stadium.

But that wasn't the issue - the issue was the fares went up by a factor of 10 for the return trip. The solution is to leave the campus and order an Uber from wherever you exit the campus. Fares were still higher but maybe 1.5X for the return rather than the outrageous fare from the campus pick up points.

If staying near T line definitely take the T. There is a station at BC (way out on green line) but still so convenient and cheap.

Take the T. Walk around the lake mand there's the stadium. Went with my then young daughter a few years ago and it was a great trip with the T filled with orange.

Have a great trip.

Coming from Boston on the T…

on game day don’t take the B line to Boston College. Take the D line to Chestnut Hill and exit off to Hammond Street. On Hammond take a right on Stone Ave or Resevoir Ave and it will take you right to the stadium. It’s a little further walk (only 2 blocks) but way less crowded, especially on the way back after the game. I printed off a google map and put in my pocket in case my phone died.
