You're being too kind. Idiots doesn't come close. IN 2018, #1 Alabama had the Citadel scheduled for week 11 at Alabama. By that time, the Tide were 10-0 and on their way to blowing out Oklahoma in the Semifinals of the CFP...that was right before we took them to the woodshed. They were 6 point favorites in that title game.....we all know how it turned out. In that same year, however, few people remember that at halftime of the Alabama-Citadel came it was 10-10. Citadel was 4-6 and threw 2 passes the entire game...both incompletes. Alabama had Tua at QB, Jalyn Waddle and Devonta Smith at WR and Damien Harris at RB. Alabama KNEW what the next play was going to be every play, but they couldn't stop...the Citadel? Alabama recalibrated at halftime and stomped the Citadel in the second half, but not before being outplayed and OUTRUSHED at Alabama for the first 2 quarters and tied 10-10 at the half - against THE CITADEL. It's football. They're all between 18-23 (avg) and if you're playing College Ball anywhere, you're a #### good football player. Period. Duke isn't the Citadel and this isn't game 11 of the Season. Their QB will play on Sundays. They are very well coached. So are we. When we won the National Championship in 2016, we lost at home to an 8-5 Pitt team - at home! Right in the middle of that glorious season. Do you remember who we had that year?! We came back and beat Bama in the Title game. Bama looked horrible in the first half of that Citadel game - and it was their 11th game with a team of current NFL All-Stars. We may struggle this year and have a down year. I dont' think we will. I think we contend. Just as the anomaly of the Citadel vs. Alabama game was a wakeup call for the Tide, it will do the same for us...as it did in 2016 for us with Pitt. I'm with Dabo. I'm not quiting on believing they're one of the best teams in the Country and Dabo has proven - BEYOND QUESTION - he knows how to win games. In BUNCHES. and now I'm sure he'll replace Saban in a few years, especially after seeing the ridiculous reactions to the opening day loss. We're gonna end up running off our Golden Goose. No doubt in my mind..
