The presidents had this planed all along. First off you have Florida State, then a short time later you have Clemson, the two biggest football brands in the conference. They will be followed by UNC, by far the biggest overall brand in the conference. I think after that you'll have Virginia jump ship. I don't think it's coincidence that Clemson filed suit the week of the acc's biggest pride and joy, the basketball tournament. The ACC as we know it is dead

The tourney is just a bonus. The trigger was the ACC approving the new CFP deal that guarantees we won't get paid as much as the SEC and the B1G.

True. If the conference has any kind of fiduciary responsibility to look out for the best interests of its members, this agreement to the CFP payouts would seemingly represent acting against those responsibilities.
