But as likely the only UNM and Clemson grad in the lounge, here’s my analysis on the game today:
UNM played well to end the season, and they have two guards that I think will play Girard well. They’re athletic and I think they limit his impact. Coached by a Pitino, so if the guy got anything from his dad they’ll be better prepped for the game than a Brownell team.
PJ hall will need a big game, we’re talking at least 3 rebounds and 27% from three.
I think New Mexico is rightfully favored. Those two guards on UNM are both sons of NBA players. NIL not really a factor for those guys because New Mexico is dirt poor. I think they play with more heart and for the love of the game, why else would you live in ABQ? It’s not nice.
What I want? A big UNM win to end the Brownell era.

Would be a shame if we had to keep the most successful coach in Clemson history.***

i keep hearing that, I know he has most wins (because is the longest tenured coach in the ACC I think), but what is his winning % vs previous? Wonder how he would stack up against Purnell.

LOL. Pre-Brownell Clemson was under .500 all time (1141-1165).

Now we've rocketed up to nearly 51% all time winning record (1403-1353).
People say he's like Tommy Bowden at Clemson.
I say he's more like Steve Spurrier at carolina. Above historical average, some in-season hype and wins over national powerhouses, but still not relevant in the postseason.

Don't go confusing the issue comparing quality vs. quantity! I mean, it's hard enough to watch bassetbawl anyway. Hope is not something I want any part of. I do rather like to watch when they be draining those 3 pernters.

Hard to compare mountain west to ACC, I don’t think there’s much difference. PJ could punish inside if he remembers he’s big.

with that stupid back against the wall mentality, and win 2 games. I hope I'm wrong.
I don't think NM can handle our size. The only way they win is by shooting really well from 3's.
Then we sign Brownell to an extension and the party continues...

Our big fellas stay out beyond the 3 pt line so it doesn’t matter.
Small sample size, maybe that’s not how they normally play.
