It's a good thing I don't live near a Rush's though.

Annyhoo, hey F you hotsawce for posting the burger king jingle. I read that and now I can't get it out of my head.

K's jingle talks about having it your way. Like, do other places not make a burger the way you want it too?

about the origins of these joint, special orders were an issue. Really jacked up the whole "Jet Service" part of the experience. As fast service no longer seems to be part of the plan for fast food joints, they don't care as much.

Ya, and maybe the skill level of the workers was/is an issue.

I'd struggle to figure out how ordering say a Big Mac or whatevs with for example NO TOMATO would slow anything down by more than like 5 seconds. Seems like it may even be a sliver quicker.

Then customer would go inside and say hey, my sammich has tomato. Then worker would spend 3 minutes trying to comprehend, 5 more minutes to make a new sammich. All that would delay the routine production of other sandwiches.

was a pretty brief time though.

I will say, on a Friday night at the pizza joint someone ordering supreme without something did cause more of a pause than it should. One just gets in a trance like state and is churning stuff out.
