Rumors of Chad Morris to Florida have begun on UF sites

I could say I would not blame Morris if offered. He could possibly be the next Gus Mahlzan of the SEC. I don't know if Florida would go for another Coordinator, but if they did they would go offensive and Chad is about as hot of a commodity as there is.
AS much as we have enjoyed Chad's time here, for the sake of his career he needs to find the best HC gig and take it just like Mahlzan did when he went to Arkansas State for a brief stop.
Staying too long could make you the next Bud Foster....always a second Banana......Of course if you are happy in that role so be it.
I would also not be surprise to see Florida go after an established coach like Rich Rod or even more flamboyant Mike Leach who has home in the Florida Keys.

if Florida even interviews inexpereinced head coaching candidates like Morris.
After the Muschamp experiement, this time around I would expect Florida to focus their search entirely on experienced head coaches like Dan Mullen, Gary Patterson, Hugh Freeze, Art Briles, Rich Rodriguez, or Mike Gundy.

Mullen, Freeze, and Gundy will be tops of their list. However, I feel like Gundy and Mullen are the 2 most likely with a wildcard of Holgorson because of his track record of recruiting the state of FL. With Freeze being from Mississippi, I think he loves where he's at now and think he feels like he is building something sustainable and not a one hit wonder.

Coot? haha Listen genius , I have made it clear that I think MO has to go. He backed that up this season with his inability to call the right plays to get inches. This is the way we always do it and I am not changing wouldn't fly anywhere else

I agree..Florida is too big of a jump for Morris and his Texas roots would be a big help for him at SMU...
CUTIGERBOB is right. SC is a better fit for Mack Brown because everyone knows that Columbia, SC is where all good coaching careers go to die.

Florida will hire someone with HC experience

Look for the school that loses their coach to Florida to come after him. If he leaves, he leaves,I doubt he leaves this year, but the number one thing is that when he leaves, Jeff Scott gets the job where we don't lose him too.

And I think Mullen or Adazzio should be the front runners. Both have been there and have moved on to success elsewhere. And I sure wouldn't mind if Coach A left BC. Guy is a good coach who gets a lot out of his players (even grad student O Linemen). On another note, I keep thinking how nice 6-2 and 5-1 would be after starting 1-2 and 0-1. Whether our guys win with offense or defense or special teams or crowd noise, I just hope they keep getting better each week. Go Tigers!

I'm not sure Morris has helped his resume or cause over the last few weeks. He was hot and rolling the last few years, but it shows he has to have his type of players installed. He may still be pursued, but he won't have no D-Wat in FL! It'll be interesting to see if any team offers big bucks for him after the season, but I really couldn't blame him one bit for leaving if offered.

Florida top 5 coaching jobs in Nation and they will take someone with much more experience, I would be shocked to see Florida pull the trigger on Morris. Florida has great athletes every year which would fit right into the Morris scheme, but I still think they go with experience??
