Could someone chart the primary RB for scoring drives?

Nov 14, 2017, 11:03 AM

I was thinking about Etienne as RB. FSU would leave their 2 safety look, bringing James into the box, when Etienne was in the game. This resulted in Cain becoming wide open one on one.

Also, Etienne was our primary RB for the first 3 TD drives against FSU. Choice was obviously in there for the 4th TD.

Just seems like there's a correlation between scoring drives and Etienne at RB. I don't have the numbers to back this up, however.

I have noticed the same thing...

Every drive that Etienne is in on, we typically move the ball with ease and score. I'm with you on not having the stats to back it up, but I agree. Etienne just gets to the line of scrimmage sop quick that he never gets tackled behind the line of scrimmage.

It seems like its guaranteed positive yardage every time he touches the ball

Crunched a few quick numbers. Etienne was primary RB

for 13 of our 25 scoring drives going back to BC game.

Only basically had garbage time until BC game.

Bottom line is usually good things happen with that guy in the game.
