if the alliance takes control of the CFP rules it will

Aug 24, 2021, 1:42 PM

they should mandate 5 auto seeds

and NO MORE than 2 teams from ANY conference in the playoff.

Amen to that! No need to allow more than two per conference!***

Does that encourage the SEC to hold it's own playoff for the two spots? What stops them from picking off Ohio State and essentially having 3 out of the 4 teams that are in the playoffs each year and just holding their own playoffs.

All of this is driven by $.

IMHO the Alliance holding playoffs without the best teams is the beginning of the end of television contracts.

well who decides who the top teams are ??

Espn puts half the SEC in top 15 every year

ok theres 3 or 4 good teams maybe in the sec - espn wants everyone to think they are all better than everyone else.

the playoff should be the conference champions - and maybe a couple other deserving teams. that is the specific reason there is a conf champ game of each division ....

I think the larger goal of the alliance is to prevent the SEC from wielding all of the power. The alliance members will have a large swath of the money in CFB. The sec will obviously have a ton too. But not enough to control everything.

Screw Calford.

You are missing the big picture! The big thing will be

putting a stop to those greedy basturds, the SEC and Greg Skanky! All they care about is lining the pockets of the SEC, and to hail with what is best for college football.

I'm sure Skanky hates the cat got out of the bag on their conference expansion, before the CFP expansion was formalized. He thought he was going to get 6 or 7 SEC teams in the expanded playoff, but hopefully the ACC, PAC & Big !0 have seen the light, and put the power of their alliance to good use, and put a stop to that nonsense!

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?
