Because I keep seeing these OPs calling out "Libs!" and Dems and shitlibs or whatever about how they back all this stuff, but I have yet to see someone on here cheer these protests on.
If no one here backs them, why are trolls like Keowee and Murph, et al, posting about it ad nauseum?
But point to someone if they actually back what these groups are doing on campuses.

If tens of thousands of Republicams were doing the exact same thing across dozens of locations nationwide I can assure you every left wing kook on here would be breathlessly rushing here to post about it.
I mean I don't know any Republican here or anywhere else that supports mass shootings yet any time we have one there are a dozen threads on here about how it's the evil gun loving Republicans fault. Sounds like somebody can dish it out but can't take it.

innocent women and children are being killed, or even if they are using this to show their support for Palestine in a broader sense. I'm not saying I necessarily agree, but I support their right to have and voice that opinion in a non-violent, lawful way.
I do not understand or agree with people who are protesting in support of Hamas, or who are anti-Israel or anti-Jew. I do not suppoprt or agree with people who are getting violent or breaking laws as part of their protest, and I think those people should be stopped cold with no apology or need for explanation or justification.
I too question how many people actually support these protests, but I'd like to see more politicians and talking heads flat out rejecting and criticizing them.

Then there are unlawful activities and those who commit them are criminals.
In general, protest movements migrate towards extremism both in positions and tactics. Outside radicals become engaged in the movement. So any path towards constructive dialogue is destroyed. In fact, greater polarization often results. In many cases the outcome is lawlessness, violence and LE engagement.
So what starts out as exercising 1st amendment rights ends up as a chit show ____ regardless of initial motives. I support the 1st amendment and just recognize the likely outcome of most protests. Motives that may be partially morally justified such as humanitarian aid or a ceasefire are quickly compromised by the extremism. That extremism has manifested itself as antisemitism and infringes on the rights of others. Even these type motives are complex given the reality of the Middle East. In the end, these Palestinian protesters (like others before them ) just end up on the wrong side of the law.

Impeding the movement or access of other citizens engaged in normal activities is problematic. These activities are often on the fringes of various laws but leadership and LE should establish acceptable guidelines for protesters. And protests are almost always conducted on private or public property so some authority should have jurisdiction over those activities.
I was in ATL when the BLM protests had the potential to disrupt Interstate travel. We left early and modified our route to the airport. Nevertheless it was a aggravating.

Israel could have responded with much more precise attacks and not only would they not look like maniacs, there'd be a lot more hostages left (since Israel would not have bombed them) to trade for in a ceasefire deal.
How could it be any more transparent that this isn't about Hamas? Y'all understand that Hamas has more support now that Israel is committing war crimes, right? Israel has been credibly accused of genocide in an international court and Netanyahu and friends are about to be served arrest warrants. Does that sound like it hurts Hamas?

Standing on the interstate is dangerous. You can't take over private property. Neither of these are peaceable assembly. And, yes I believe there are times when more drastic things are necessary, when American's rights are being trampled, ie, Revolutionary war, Civil Rights Movement. But, this ain't one of them.
