I don't give a RAT'S BUTT that I'm not a coach!

I don't give a dang that we've won 9 games with KB.
I don't give a dang that Scott is confident in KB.
I don't give a dang that Dabo says the KB gives us the best option to win.
I'm one the 17,000 IPTAY members (I give at a pretty good level) and have 4 season tickets. I've been giving to IPTAY and have had season tickets for 16 years. I graduated from Clemson, my daughter is a Clemson sophomore and my nephew is Clemson junior (both are there because they've been going to games with me since they were about 4 years old and they know it's the best place on earth.) I can't remember the last time I could not attend a home game. I drove up from Charleston in the down pour that was the Notre Dame game and sat in rain for the GT game two weeks ago.
If you don't think I'm committed to Clemson and the program, kiss my ####.
With that, I believe that gives me as much a right as anyone to say I don't like our offensive identity this year and that I don't think KB is good QB. I was pulling for KB as hard as I could Sat afternoon but at the end of the game and based on his performance my opinion has not changed.
I am worried that we have all of these WRs on the roster and KB can't throw them the ball. Take away the Kent St and Louisville games and we're 198 yds per game passing, add UL and Kent we're at 221 yds/gm. 7 TDs and I think 5 INTs for the year. Those stats don't jump off the page. So thank goodness he can run the ball.

take away those 2 games and we are 7-1. and still in the top 4. So who cares how many passing yards we have?
you talk about how big of a fan you are. I wasnt around for the glory days of the 80's Danny Ford teams, but please go look at their offensive stats. I can promise you that it wasnt nearly what we throw for nowadays.
So, enjoy the ride and the product that this staff puts on the field or give up your tickets and keep your iptay donations.

I was there and I remember bitching and moaning back then too.
Sure, we all wish Kelly was better, or even DW4 ver.2, but it is what it is. Heck, I wish our whole team was better; wouldn't it be cool if we were better than the Patriots? Guess what? We aren't.
That is all fine and good, so what to do about it? What to do about our desire for a player or two to be better? We could complain, but I am reminded of the Serenity Prayer. Not only can't I control it, but complaining may actually have negative effects on morale etc. I could question our coaches abilities, assuming that I know something that they do not, but that is awfully presumptuous.
So what to do about it? Put on my orange lenses and sit back and enjoy the best era of Clemson football that I have seen in my 50 years and pull like hell for the coaches and players. Let it bring joy, not sorrow or anger. Kelly Bryant is my favorite QB in college football, the coaches are my favorite coaches in college football and each player is my favorite at each position.
Go Tigers!

I believe that their are some on Tigernet that would rather see us lose a game with KB than keep winning the way we are; just so they could say “I told you so...”
Dabo said, “The fun is in the winning!” Not The fun is in the winning by a certain amount of points!

Our O doesn't really have an identity, but so what?

We have the players we have right now. KB is who we have and he is our best chance this year, even if he can't completely execute our offense consistently. Every season won't be the same. When TL is our starter you will like our O again. Then again, maybe our D will be off for some reason one of those years and that will be something else to question. Maybe the D, the O, and special teams will be great some years too. Every year is a new year with different players. I don't see why there are pumpers or dumpers. We are who we are. Our program is at such and elite level now that every year is not a make or break year for me now. We may win it all this year and we may not. I know we aren't done winning National Titles under Dabo though.

Whether everyone agrees or not this team is a running team. You play to your strengths. We don't have Deshaun or Mike Williams. What we do have is good running backs a good offensive line and a quarterback that is a very good runner Next year may be different with Lawrence coming in. But until that happens get behind this team and quit bitching. Best era in Clemson history and these so called Iptay members can't see the forest for the trees. In the past few years we have risen from being beaten five years in a row by the chickens to the top of college football. If you don't like our present team move to Columbia and pull for the gamecocks. Then you would have plenty to ##### about. Go Tigers

Man you took the words right out of my mouth. I have been telling everyone we are a running team this year, can we throw the ball of course but not like last years team. We dance with who we got and I for one give the whole coaching staff a big thumbs up for adjusting to the personnel we have. Not going to be the same team every year. GO TIGERS! GO KB keep workin!

I think our offensive identity is customized to fit KB's talent and skill level. That doesn't mean I think he's perfect but I do not think he is 100% either.
I think our coaches would play someone better if there was someone better and I don't believe it would cause them distress to change our offensive identity to suit that other QB either.

You don't go 9-1 with a bad qb. Sorry but it just does not happen. You can hate on KB all you want to but without him we would be 7-3 or maybe worse. The Cuse game showed us how good he is. He can throw the ball pretty dang good. He is clutch when the game is on the line. He can run as good as any QB in the country. Sorry he does not throw for 400 yards a game. Get over it. We are a running team with a good D this year and have a QB that does not make many mistakes. We win.

I have seen a somewhat bad QB win a Superbowl. Bryant isn't bad though. Bryant is solid. Anyone who thinks Brant is bad is being a little dramatic. Bryant is solid, but just not at the level we are all hoping for with our outrageously high standards.

Not many teams in college football go 9-1 With a bad qb. I'd like to see some names of one's that have. He is very solid and this is his first year. The people complaining about him now thought he shouldn't even have started this year. Here we are 9-1 and a lot of that is thanks to KB. People should appreciate how well he has been instead of trying to point out all the flaws.

We Don't Give a RAT's BUTT about your $$$ Status

Let's get that out of the way first. You seem to be wanting to use this thread to try and impress people with your good fortune rather than a fan for college football..
Now to KB and the program...since you like to itemize things:
1. We are the defending National Champs
2. We have been to the last 2 National Title Games and have a chance to do it again..
3. Clemson has never had this level of success even under Danny Ford...
I could go on but no need to..
Look..Kelly Bryant was supposed to be a transitional QB like Will Proctor and Cole Stoudt was as Clemson was expected to have a down year and Kelly Bryant did a HORRIBLE thing to people like you....HE WON GAMES WE WERE SUPPOSED TO LOSE!!!...How dare he!
It's too late to go to a 2-QB system..You know.."ALL-IN"
Dude..lighten up, enjoy the ride..It a great time to be a Clemson Tiger fan..don ruin the experience...
If you really want to get "Focus"..Continue to be a good Daddy to that Daughter you have going to Clemson and make sure her life is tracking in the right direct..that's what really matters.

some seem like they'd rather score lots of style points but win. That reminds me of a game last year... Pitt. we scored 41 but lost!

Atlantic Champs again and probably playoff bound . Whatever Bryant is doing as our QB I hope it can continue because being 4th in the CFP and winning 90% of your games so far is pretty amazing for a first year starter .

Watching, sure we get frustrated...it looks so easy and obvious to us. On the field...I have no idea what the view is.

Kelly doesn't pass the ball down the field very well. He does throw the intermediate game pretty good tho. He has hit some big third downs throwing across the middle and to the sideline. He has been protecting the ball up until this week. What he can do in the run game and being able to extend plays is what gives us the best chance to win. That's why he is our starter.
My question to the coaches is why do we have Ryan Carter on punt team when we are so thin at corner?

I still think KB gives us the best chance to win because of his running dynamic.
It's not ideal, I think the coaches understand it's not ideal. It's what we got this year. Just relax and enjoy the best you've seen of our program in the last 16 years.
