With so many players playing 6-7 years can’t wait to see a player fight the requirements in court and play college football for decades. Shoot why not throw it out now and let them retire from college football. I just wanna know how we’ve gotten to the dumbest place in history.

should remove the requirements, increase the amount of players, reduce the cost immediately

Yep let’s go ahead and allow NFL players to return back to college apparently college players make more money now. If the coaches can go back to college so should the players because I’m told the players should the exact same as coaches

Yep and becoming increasingly hard to watch, as pro sports have been for at least the last decade. Maybe this is a good thing as our false idols are being exposed.

I’m waiting for NFL players to return to college that have remaining eligibility. Gone is the amateur athlete status thus rendering the rule moot. Trevor Lawrence returns to Clemson for one final college run…

Nope! They gotta fix this mess they’ve created. We can’t close the box but we can put some rules on it.

who was just granted a 7th year of eligibility?

This guy was at Texas Tech for three seasons before transferring to Michigan where he played in a backup role for two years. The NCAA said he met the criteria for an extension because of a season ending injury in 2019 combined with redshirting at the University of Michigan.

Since when was redshirting a basis for an extension?

2018 at Texas Tech - Played in 8 games
2019 at Texas Tech - Played in 3 games and redshirted due to an injury
2020 at Texas Tech - Played in 8 games
2021 at Michigan - Played in 2 games behind Cade McNamara and J. J. McCarthy
2022 at Michigan - Played in 3 games behind Cade McNamara and J. J. McCarthy
2023 at Oklahoma State - Played in 14 games
2024 at Oklahoma State - Returning for a 7th year of eligibility

I see no legitimate basis to grant 7th year of eligibility in this case.
