I can see two torrents that look like creeks across the cove rushing into the lake out of people’s yards- turning what was clear water quite muddy

Heavy rain all morning in Greenville. Cleveland Park is completely flooded. Haven’t seen it that deep in years.

Checking in from Virginia...I'm building Noah's ark.
Seriously though, just light rain and moderate winds here. More of an annoyance than anything else (at least so far).

Our first house bought 1977 was off Edwards Mill, second left off Indian Trail. Was right behind the former Winn Dixie location.

North of Chlt Speedway, have had much rain and thankfully. to this point, wind hasn't been strong. Still another couple of hours before the heavy weather passes so could get increased winds on the back end.
Haven't seen so much water in the back yard since fall of 2008 when a hurricane dropped about 11 inches in a nine hour period. Downstairs den, man cave and the in built garage had an inch and half of water. Had drainage installed around the foundation a couple of months later. Always concerned when it rains so heavily over several hours. So far so good.

If you had only bought an ev the rain would have atomically stopped at 1/4 inch and only a gentle breeze would be blowing.

Not a lot of rain in Myrtle but had a brief rotation trigger a Tornado warning here by my house about a mile away from Coastal Grande Mall. Spotty pockets of high winds and light periods of rain mostly.

Four inches in the rain gauge and still raining- DK how the rain went into it

When the wind was blowing so hard it looked like all the rain went horizontally past the windows . Blew a pool box open & soaked everything in it - will be tough to dry it out before the next rain on Friday. Driveway covered with broken limbs and the top half of a big pine is what kept the neighbor around the corner from getting home…. And they say the real wind will start after the rain stops!

We had a lot of rain this morning. Saw a picture of a rain gauge near here showing 4.25 inches. Power went out from about 10:45 until 1:30. We get a lot of runoff and I’ve done a ton of work the last couple of years to divert it so it doesn’t wash a truckload of mulch onto my driveway. Everything worked as planned today and I’m sure before the work I did I would have had a mess. Didn’t get as much wind after the rain as they were calling for. Sun just came out a few minutes ago 😁

From reading y'all the N.C. foothills been lucky on the wind, just a steady blow. But the rain is another story road in front of house looks like a river, stopped about 5 minutes ago and I think the worst is past. News said a tornado killed 1 in Catawba Co. which is one down, never saw any high winds in Alexander. Nice to be pushed up against the mnts, saves lots of bad weather.

Now clearing here north of Chlt Speedway. Can see the sunset. Unfortunately just saw on WBTV about one related fatality in Catawba Co. Hopefully no more will be reported.

pretty fair amount of rain today with strong winds. The amounts were no near as much as we received the first four days of October 2015. do not want to see 26 inches of rain again.

Like many storms did over summer, when that thick line got near it split up some and reorganized on the other side. Maybe 1" total and 25 mph gust likely tops.
Beautiful wind though. Red Tailed Hawks were having a field day in the hood, morning til dusk. Tacking and wind surfing.
Lots of smaller wood debris to collect tomorrow, but otherwise pretty fortunate.
