I know everyone is upset at the loss earlier tonight, but some things to consider:
Positives: 1. We have had 3 consecutive 10-win seasons - something that hasn't been done in quite some time. 2. We are now a consistent feature in the top 10/15 teams in the Nation 3. The last 2 years we have not been 'Clemson-ing' 4. Our recruiting pipeline is strong (top 15 or 20) 5. 5 years ago, we were striving to be like the LSUs of the world - we are there now. Even LSU does not win them all.
Opportunities: 1. To reach the next echelon, we need to win the tough matchups - our 2 losses the last 2 years were to FSU and USC 2. Be competitive - We don't seem to have the will to fight back when we get punched in the face - George and LSU were exceptions. What you lack in talent you can sometimes make up by being competitive 3. Improve play calling - The glitz and glamor play calling works for the mid and lower tier teams. For some reason in our losses with FSU and USC, play calling seems to be off. Can't understand why we couldn't take what the defense gives us and go for 3-4 yards when we can. Good teams don't give big plays very often, and better teams learn to take what they can.
