If you wanted to get in some time on the Gulf on FSU week what would be a good place to stay?

Not specific - but St George Island area, Apalachicola Bay,

Shell Point Beach - all of those are not too far from Tally. Probably lots of good Air BnBs down there these days. If you want more of a Myrtle Beach type place, then you should look further west toward Panama City. But if you want a more laid back, fishing village type beach, then the Apalachicola Bay area is the place. Killer seafood. Nice, but not great, beaches. The exception is St George Island. It's a state park, so it's very nice. Beautiful area.

Cape San Blas, but don’t tell anyone about it 😁.

I’ve stayed there many times and will be back there again in mid October

Mexico Beach has been rebuilt after hurricane. Panama City Beach and Rosemary Beach are outstanding.

If you like a quiet beach, Mexico Beach- Port St Joe and Apalachicola are near and have dining options.

If you like Myrtle Beach, Panama City Beach is that.

If you go to Cape San Blas, Port St. Joe or Mexico Beach, you have eat at the Indian Pass Raw Bar near Cape San Blas, or the Raw Bar uptown if you stay in Port St Joe or Mexico Beach. They’re owned by the same person. The original is at Indian Pass has has a very limited menu, the other one in Port St Joe has a larger menu. The beer is on tap and you serve yourself. If you are a beer drinker, try the different beers made by Oyster City Brewery, the Mangrove is around 8.5% ABV, my favorite is the Tates Hell. I bring home about 6 six packs every time I go.

I have stayed in every FL. Panhandle city from Tally to Pensacola. There is not a bad one.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

Rosemary Beach is a bit pretentious for many. And VERY expensive.
