not at the same level as these other guys while he was at Clemson. Now, if you're talking about Clemson players in the NFL then definitely he's one of the best ever.

In 2012 Nuk had more than 1,400 yards and 18 TDs

He was on the receiving end of one of the most iconic plays in Clemson history that helped jump start the roll we've been on ever since. He is one of, if not THE best WR in all of football. To say he's not a once in a generation type player is a mistake.

Sammy was more electric, obviously a great player. Give me Nuk in the clutch, he was never not open. Could always come down with the ball. Best receiver I've seen at Clemson

Not to mention the fact he pretty much single handedly carried us to a W the game Sammy went out on the first couple plays.

Nuk was better at Clemson IMO. I remeber thinking that many times his junior year. Like someone else said he was never not open. Sammy could be shut down against elite physical corners. Nuk could have three defenders draped over him like he did against SC for a TD that one year and still catch the ball if it was catchable. Sammy was inconsistent at times. There’s a reason Nuk is having a better career in the NFL and he was the steal of the draft. Don’t get me wrong I love Sammy. He was and probably is still more capable of taking a screen pass to the house. He just has that playmaking capability but Nuk is a better pure WR and he has been better overall since about his third year at Clemson.

I don’t think you understand the term. A “once in a generation” type of player is one widely considered the best or among the best at his position not just the year he is playing but over an entire generation, generally considered t be a 20 year period. Even better if people continue to measure current players on whether or not they are the next coming of that generational player, like people like to see X quarterback is the best NFL prospect since Peyton Manning, who turned pro 20 years ago. That’s a generational player.
It’s going to be a very short list. Deshaun’s college success would clearly put him on that list. TL has the potential and ability, but you can’t crown him yet. I do think that TL has the best chance I’ve seen seen Andrew Luck to replace Manning as the standard for QB comparisons going forward. Manning himself was touted as the best prospect since John Elway, who had turned pro 15 years prior to him. These guys do not come along often!

I would say
CJ Spiller Sammy Watkins Deshaun Watson Trevor Lawerence Dexter Lawerence Christian Wilkins Mitch Hyatt
I was thinking about throwing Nuk in there but it took him more time to get up to speed than Sammy. He may be better in the NFL but Sammy was electric day one starting for us.

NUk took more time because he was playing basketball as well when he first got here. Once he started to just concentrate on football his stock took off. That's why he was drafted in the first round of the NFL. Remember a couple of years ago they looked at where a player drafted would fall in the draft after a couple of years in the NFL and Nuk was #1 overall.

If we are talking once in a generation at CU. DW4, CJ, Vic, Stephon Anthony, Kearse before he looked ahead to the NFL, CW42, Big Dex, Mac, Nuk and Sammy, Mitch. I believe if these guys are playing their best football they start on any Clemson team of the past 20 years.

I guess I don’t understand the question. How can DW4 and TL16 both be the once in a generation QB. They both belong to the same generation. Only one can be THE Best QB of his generation. I don’t see how you can have two players at the same position both be a once in a generation player.
Right now I would vote DW4 as that once in a generation QB. But in two years I think my vote will change to DL16.
