Part of making Clemson the best now and in the future is developing all players. Not sure why after one throw vs ND he was benched again when same did not apply to DJ in 4Q. We are 9 games into season and a very highly ranked QB in Cade has only 20 attempts total. How is anyone coming to any conclusion on 20 season attempts? Many report confidence issues in DJ last few weeks and returning to last years issues, but how are we building confidence in another option like Cade. If Cade is the future next year, what are our playing time decisions impacting his development and confidence? Are we not worried about his confidence or how he is supposed to conclude that Clemson delivered on developing him? Sounds like Dabo is making DJ the starter but will Cade ever get above 40 attempts this year if he only has been given 20 opportunities to pass this year in real game situations? Just hope we do not end the season with two QBs lacking confidence when one has received very little game action from the offensive coaches.
Re: Give Cade more. 20 attempts all year not enough

I agree. This is one of my biggest disappointments, this year, with Dabo. He usually has a plan for everything, but did not seem to plan for the possibility for DJU struggling again this year. Not giving Cade more playing time early in the year, just in case, has limited our options now. I hope it doesn't cost us any more games.
