For those wondering why people shoot…..

fireworks at 5 a.m. on July 5th, it’s really quite simple. Revenge!!

We had some yo-yos down the street who would shoot fireworks on every holiday. They would fire the loudest things they could find and would keep it up until 1 or 2 in the morning. They had no regard for people with babies or small children trying to sleep. They didn’t care if you had to go to work the next morning. They didn’t care about the elderly or how many dogs they terrified.

After one holiday a few years ago, their next door neighbor must have spent a grand on fireworks. At 5 a.m. on the morning after, he set them all off right outside their bedroom window. They haven’t set off any fireworks since.

I can agree with doing something like that for get back bc that is exactly what I was doing at 4 am this morning, but I emptied two 8 round clips in my 40 cal Smith & Wesson to pay my neighbor back for two straight nights of shooting off fireworks until 2am. And I didn't fire them all at once, I fired an 8 round clip in about 15 minutes, and I fired the second clip at 5:30 am taking about 20 minutes to pull the trigger on the second clip, and I will be at it again at about 4 am in the morning, plus I'm going to start mowing my grass at about 6am.

Grass cutting is best at first light in summer.

I try to save a life a day, usually it is my own.

I’m all for it. These jacka$$e$ around us are so annoying. They usually shoot them off the night before the holiday and for the next several day after. I’m waiting for them to go off tonight. They scare the crap out of the poor dogs including my daughter’s dog who’s staying at our house. They are just a waste of money. If I want to see fireworks I go to the big shows that are free. No cost and they are so much better.

Had a new person move behind me a couple months back. Neighborhood doesn't really shoot fireworks which is fine by me. Guy bought those huge mortar fireworks that sound like a bomb, when they are going off right over my backyard. Woke up to firework debris all in my yard. Needless to say we want be friends.

but for me it’s no real bother since I know the real reason for it and it’s about the same as when I hear little kids visiting next door who yell & have fun..

it’s Life!

fireworks into their house last week. I expected all Hades to break loose and continue most of the last night. The show began at 9PH and ended 45 minutes later.

Ever everyone had neighbors a next door neighbor like me the world would be a better place to live. Next to my own 7 children (all grown) and my 15 grandchildren no child is as precious to me as them.
