So when that VT guy said on twitter
Sep 30, 2017, 10:36 PM

that all the opposing teams put them in the Upper Deck and swiftly posted a video of the band at the UVA game, he neglected to say that it was only a commonwealth of Virginia thing. It's like UGA refusing other conferences referees in Athens. When they play at Clemson, we get to use ACC refs. Those tickets in the WEZ need to be offered to IPTAY members with seats in the upper deck for any home games against UVA or VT.

That's Clemson taking the high road. Last game we went to Balcksburg and seen the band was lower than we were and we wasn't in the upper corner!

Figures they stick together. UVA wouldn't vote for the original expansion unless their turkey friends weren't included. Originally it was supposed to be Syracuse, BC and Miami no VATech.

have premium tickets that tiger fans should be in we just give them to the other team??? I'm sure we get the money but that's weak. I support away team bands being close to the field but this logic is flawed.

"GIVE" lower deck tickets to the students of Clemson &

sell tickets to the VT & UVA fans & their band in the upper deck only.
Students only have 4 or so years to attend and they should be given priority tickets in the lower deck for ALL home games. ** Same should be said for basketball & baseball tickets - students should be given better ticket options. I'm old now and had great tickets to all college games in all sports when I went to college (I did not attend Clemson, but have become a fan through my wife). Clemson should remember that it is a school 1st and it should put its students 1st in all areas.
Alumni, Iptay, and the general public can buy tickets and they have the resources to do so - but students are what makes college great.

I agree with the logic and I did attend Clemson in the 1980's and made the most of the opportunity I had to attend games for free. Times have changed and now Clemson is the only school in the power 5 conferences that do not charge students for tickets. You need to take this sermon to other schools.

what does our contract with SC have to do with our placement

at VT? Bottom line...any team that places our band in the upper deck should get the same treatment from us when they visit DV.

I know people that would pay good money for those lower band seats for every game with the exception of the south carolina game. Heck, I'll buy 2 more season tickets down there just to give to friends. IPTAY offered season packets without aubarn and fsu and they sold.
It can and should be done.

So what the excuse when Clemson plays in Columbia. They don't have to leave 2000 seats for USC at Clemson.
I hope when VT comes to Clemson in the future we see them in the far upper deck. Screw VT they have nothing to do with Clemson and USC.
Poor excuse on Clemson's part. Those 2000tickets can be sold for every game to fans. They can leave them open for USC only.

Next time we play VT at home we should give their band front row midfield seats - at Riggs Field!

Right now with the way our D is playing the only time the opposing band plays is when their team takes the field or maybe at halftime. I say put them right outside the stadium nobody will miss them.

Seems like most ACC schools don't...unless it's a short drive.

The explanation is "that's how it's done in Virginia". So hospitality and collegiality is a thing of the past there? That is regrettable, I feel sorry for them.
The comment about Clemson's arrangements with South Carolina has no relevance.

Disappointing Explanation.

Short and sweet reason with a bitter aftertaste. Shameful policy for two fine schools. It's time they get it right, the way it used to be.
