Dreams Become Realities

Oct 5, 2015, 3:13 PM

15 years ago, I had a dream. To be grandpas best buddy. Grandpa was a Tiger fan, he always had his orange. He started dragging me to games at AGE 4. That was 15 years ago.

Since then, I have become a huge tiger fan. Missing only about 6 home games since the age of 4, and I'd say sitting at 19 I am very very much a huge fan. Then I dreamed of coming to Clemson. Well, here I am. A sophomore at the greatest college in the country and I am seeing a football team like one I have NEVER experienced here before.

Now really.. who cares about me? No one. The point is... Dreams can become realities, and if you ask me, one more dream could become a reality in the future.

The worst weather I have ever been a part of, it was miserable sitting out at Gameday at 5 on this Saturday morning. Did we care? Absolutely not, thats the best thing about being a Tiger --> big game, WE WILL BE THERE.

Our boys fought their absolute hearts out to prove that even though we were favorites, the little ol orange team in the ACC CAN win the big one. The funny thing, is that people were still saying we couldn't even though Dabo is now 7-3 vs teams in the Top 10. I guess everyone saying we couldn't must be just a little LUGUBRIOUS!!!

But seriously, the reason for my post. Dabo is the man, the absolute man. Beats the top dogs, runs the program the right way, honors God in his press conferences. Just couldn't have a better man at the helm. He doesn't just pride himself on "being the good guy" though, this dude wins!!!

Call me crazy, but I believe we have just defeated the best team we play all year. We will more than likely be at least 5+ point favorites from here to the end, and although I hate jumping ahead.. I say we CAN do it this year.

Venables is a magician. Elliot and Scott are just getting comfy. Watson is a winner, who cares about the Heisman. Kevin Dodd and BJ Goodson winning defensive players of the week?? Wayne Gallman just fighting for every inch? I mean, guys are stepping up everywhere. We are doing what we have to do when we have to do it.

I've always been right on page with Dabo on taking things one game at a time, and thats my only hesitation in this post. Im jumping ahead. But in my opinion, guys keep getting better, growing up, just doing what they have to do. Im doing it, I'm projecting an ACC championship, a state championship, and hey, maybe even a little playoff run. Whatever the fact, there's no denying I'm pumped up. Our boys will have to fight, they will have to claw, and they will even have to BYOG for the rest of the year. BUT Dabo will have them ready and I do not see us having a let down. This program is just a whole new level, and no one can deny it.

So on this beautiful day in sunny Clemson, SC I leave you with this. I believe the dream of a playoff run could soon become a reality.

GO TIGERS
