Don’t like 2 of 3 bowls projected or opponents overall, but..

do like Gator Bowl or even Charlotte Mayo Bowl due to travel distance..
but opponent is important..like a team we’ve never played.
So, which team would be a good opponent we’ve not played, with some history, or good band or fans, or feisty coach, or a neat color scheme, or something novel that would help us get over this hang-over of not being in a CFP Bowl after 6 glorious years?
Thinking OKst, Washington, Arkansas, Ole Missy, Purdue, Tx....
What say you.

I mean that would be fun as all get out to curb stomp them. Especially if Dan Mullen is retained after the regular season.
Maybe we could beat them so bad it would make the administration second guess themselves and go fire him that evening after telling him he has another year to get it together.

Would LOVE to get matched up with Florida. Gives us another chance to show off against one of the premier Florida schools and an SEC one at that. IDK about curb-stomping but getting a win would be a treat.
Surprised we haven't played them and Tennessee more in the past.
Of the projected matchups so far, the only one I wouldn't be crazy about would be a match with Auburn. We played them so many times in the 2010s, outside of the playoff, I'm okay not playing them for a spell.

who's offense is as bad as ours, and was playing with the 3rd string QB, can put 40 points on them...
And we have more time to continue to gel on Offense...
Then we dang sure can Curb stomp them!

After 6 years of high stakes conference championships, semifinals and Nattys it would be nice for the players to spend a week relaxing at a warm weather bowl site and enjoy themselves. 14-15 games a year takes a toll on the body for the starters. Now not a single one of them would tell you that because it’s not what the program is about.

Iowa is getting worse each week.
But, in the sense that both Defenses are lights out, it would be a 3-0 game most likely.
So, yeah, I don't want that either.

I would love to play Texas. Especially since our recruiting has expanded so much.
Ok St would be nice.
Wisky would be high profile and give us more Midwest exposure for them big road grader boys.
No auburn or arky. Ole missy might help a little with Arch. That'd probably be the lead in.

I'd say we have 3 more games to play, and while UCOMM is not exactly Georgia, Wake and South Carolina are two games we could lose and then it won't matter which bowl we get because it will be the same as the season; CRAP!

USC would be outstanding and give us more exposure than some wouldn't get otherwise.

I was thinking Wisconsin or Minnesota but Wisconsin probably isn’t as interesting now with Melusi injured.
