$225 is an excessive amount

It might not sound like much to us with jobs now but I remember as a student that would have been a huge amount of money. The cost of tuition is skyrocketing and most students don't have jobs throughout the year and still have to pay rent, food, entertainment, etc. For comparison to another football first ACC school I went to Virginia Tech 2009-2013 and the policy there was you could either enter a lottery for free student tickets or pay $80 for season tickets and you could group with a large group of friends. We had a group of 30 and all had the same seats, and they were good seats not top of upper deck, for the season. $225 just seems like a very steep price. Clemson needs students on lower deck, they are the loudest group and provide the most towards the Death Valley atmosphere which we all love.

NO ONE is making the students pay they have a choice FREE (upper deck) or Pay (lower deck) IPTAY members pay dues + season ticket cost many are Clemson Grads sitting in the upper decks FREE there is nothing FREE some say air is free, next time you buy a bag of potato chips think about how much you payed for the air in it.

If they choose too, students who purchase season tickets priced at $225.00 per season pay approximately $32.00 per ticket for 7 games, correct? How much do you think students pay for their phones/cellular service on a monthly basis?

" The cost of tuition is skyrocketing and most students don't have jobs throughout the year and still have to pay rent, food, entertainment, etc." you are not implying that clemson students are not smart enough to choose their own entertainment, are you ?

Lol most of these students have mommy and daddy anyways. I was shocked at how many of the kids didn't work and just swipe their credit cards.

You said right in your post (among other things) they are paying for entertainment. I think this would be budgeted under entertainment. I'm sure the frat bros that leave at halftime are spending more than $225 per season on alcohol before each game.

Just a thought here...wasn't there some complaining last year that a lot of students did not return to their seats after half time? Perhaps, if students have to for their tickets, they might think twice about sitting out the second half. I'm not saying it is right or wrong for them to not return, I'm just saying, this might solve that problem. When I was a student there, we never dreamed of missing the second half....but that was a long time ago!

That would have really cut into my pot and beer money.

Poor kids, no pot or beer for a month and all they get is to watch a NC caliber team in the best venue in college football. Just 7 times. I mean seven lousy times they get to see our guys run down The Hill.
God forbid, what has the world come to?
