However since they legally could be moving prior to the ball being snapped, when the defensive players jumped offside Auburn snapped the ball, the play should've been called dead. However the ourcome would've been the same as it ended up being since the jump offside occurred prior to the snap with 3 peoaple in motion

I agree that it should have been offsetting penalties. Disagree with the offsides being preeminent. They occurred at the same time, when the ball was snapped, replay down

It is called in the same way when a false start is called after an offsides penalty. The motion (at the snap) in both cases is assumed to be due to the first infraction (the offside),
