Did our 2023 Football schedule get better?

Jun 28, 2022, 8:46 PM

I don't remember which ACC opponents we were originally to play in 2023 - specifically who in the Coastal was scheduled to rotate to us next year.

I do know now for 2023:

no change (5): FSU - home, GA Tech - home, Wake - home, NCSU - away, Syracuse - away

Former Coastal opponents (besides Tech) now on our 2023 schedule: (3): Duke - away, UNC - home, Miami - away

Former 2023 opponents from Atlantic we aren't playing now: BC - home, Louisville - away

So what I don't remember is who was the "other" originally scheduled Coastal opponent for 2023 - one of the 3 above or someone else?

Miami and UNC might be an upgrade over keeping BC / Louisville - but who knows...

None of the schedules will be better because we already played Georgia Tech, Florida State and NC State every year. This is much ado about nothing except give it a few years and the schedules will be out of balance.

There won't be a noticeable drastic change so much in year one or any given year following, which is a nice way to roll this in and go forward. Travel opps for fans will be the first thing that starts to take shape. New places out, new faces in. As for 2023, swapping BC and L'Ville for UNC and Miami is already a win, even if @ Duke washes it out somehow.

Variety is the spice of life. More Paw more places more often. I'm for it.

I like this since it means we'll play Miami and UVA more often. I'll miss playing BC as often (I'm sure I'm in the minority opinion group on that, but I like that game and that trip).

The ACC should get some better championship games too.

The way Miami that is buying their roster, we may want to stay away!!!

Nah I miss having big games during the regular season. When’s the last time we had one in the Valley 2016 Louisville? Hopefully NCSU will live up to the hype at least until they come to Clemson on 10/1. Something tells me State will do what State does by losing to either ECU or Texas Tech first though.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

The downer on the schedule for me is always playing at Raleigh. It's only a bit above playing at the Roach.
