I see a team with a ton of injuries in 2021 and a team trying to overcome said injuries, 2 new coordinators, multiple coaching and advisor rolls changing, in 2022. I see a return to the top 4 in 2023, with FSU and UNC on the schedule for 2023 Clemson will show in the season they are still the class of the ACC. Notre Dame looks to possibly be another ranked team for Clemson and will solidify their ranking. With 8 starters returning on both sides of the ball and with depth showing at almost every position other than QB, this could really show to be a special year. I really am excited to see a healthy WR room with 3 freshman/sophomores with Brannon Spector, Beaux Collins and Joseph Ngata healthy, this considered liability could become a strength. Will desperately need to keep the QB healthy as this room will be thin without another proven starter, but Vizzina may prove to be capable if called upon if it is later in the season. Defense should be salty with proven LBs and a grown up (and deep) secondary. The D-line should be improved with Davis and Ruke back, and a healthy and more experienced Williams, Page, and Capehart, along with some very talented recruits coming in! Future is bright and with 2 years loaded with adversity, Clemson is due to have a season where it can play the game and have fun with no distractions and hardships. It's my take, Go Tigers!

That's quite a mouthful and about the most optimistic spin I have ever heard. We have no O line, no impact WR's, thin at DE, paper thin at lB with Woodaz and Carter actually safety size but forced into the role, and a back end that was gashed all season. Your happy that Brannon Spector is healthy? I am too but he's not going to make an impact at WR. I think Cade is going to be great although he needs about another 10 lbs and a little more arm strength on the long (50+ yards) throws. I like his chances. Should be set at DT. As for all the other holes, it's a work in progress. I'm expecting a lot of close games and a 50/50 shot at the ACC championship. Go Tigers!

The Tigers are on the rise after a reset. Oh yeah, that reset included a 10 and 11 win season that 50 or so of the 65 Power 5 schools would love to have.

That sounds like a math question.

I am a have to see to believe person. I'll say decline. The last 2 years I have seen nothing to think we are on the rise. Recruiting misses. Nepotism hiring. Failure to adapt to the new college game. Big year coming up

two years of lackluster QB play. QB is everything in our offense. We are a QB centered offense, have been since Boyd. We get great QB play, we win big. We don't, we see 2014, 2021 and 2022

I agree with the QB centered offense (most are with the offenses being used). I agree that Cade will be an upgrade - he may even be excellent down the road. This current offense has a lot of holes at WR and on the O line. We've been in that boat before and went to the playoffs! BUT, that was with Trevor. He literally carried the team on his shoulders and so few realized how bad we really were until we ran into OSU. In a nutshell, there is no second coming of Trevor. I'm in the wait and see camp as to how heavy a load Cade is able to carry because it's all going to fall squarely on his shoulders. Hope your right Striper.

And much more so after last night. Weak coaching that's bringing down performance on the field. At some point (if not already) it's going to hit us on the recruiting trail too, and then it's another decade in the desert before we see a semi or final.

I see about stagnant. There’s only 2-3 teams on the schedule

Jan 10, 2023, 9:17 PM

we can lose to next year. We will probably win 1 or two of those, good chance we win the ACC, might make the playoff, but would probably get smoked in the playoff. So overall not predicting much change from this year.

I might frame the question a bit differently. What I see is some of the teams we compete against, along with some of the elite teams, are taking advantage of the new opportunities and making themselves better while we are somewhat standing in place. I think both FSU and Miami are pretty good examples of the ones we compete with who are recruiting better and leveraging all of their options.

So, it is not so much a matter of us trending up or down as it is the other teams trending up and making themselves more competitive that potentially creates the separation.

I can see Clemson as a 2-3 loss team each year unless better WR play happens, the offense needs to be explosive again.
