You're right - I just watched the video which must have been old but the article had 1969

Thanks to all our veterans who were in Vietnam - God Bless

Remember it well. If I had the money and thought my Rambler would have made it, I would have been there.

I was there!!!

I was six years old and about to start the first grade.

My parents were going out of town for a week with friends and they told my older brother he needed to plan to stay home and look after me while they were away.

Little did they know, he had already made plans to attend Woodstock. After my parents left, I distinctly remember my brother asking me if I wanted to go camping. So...my brother, his best friend, three girls, and I made the long drive from Hickory, NC to Bethel, NY in a VW van.

I honestly don't remember all that much about it. I remember the long drive. I definitely remember all the people and the rain. I remember the music mostly because you could hear it even when you weren't at the stage area. I mostly remember my big brother taking me camping.

It was years before my brother worked-up the courage to actually tell our parents about it.

Now that there is one great story.
I was 20 and working summers in the mill to be able to go back junior year. I didn't know about Woodstock til later. You are a lucky dude.
PS There's one story my parents never heard too.

Vaguely remember it as a child. It was a few weeks after the Apollo 11 moon landing in July that year.

Bugsy, to the pink and white tent.

What we have in mind is breakfast in bed for 400,000.

Three days of love, peace, music, and MUD. I was fourteen at the time, and wouldn't have even entertained the thought of making the trek from South Carolina to New York.

:)

I was 5 years old and don’t remember anything about it. The only thing I know I learned from seeing on TV years later and reading things about it. It would have been fantastic to be there! What stories you could tell. I worked with a guy who lived in Florida at the time and was around 14-15 in 1969 and claims he went to Woodstock. Don’t know if true or not 😳

What a failure of socialism

Aug 15, 2023, 6:38 PM

All the peace and love quickly fell apart... wasn't too much love and peace after the food and medicine ran out..

It was a lot better than the one they had in the '90s. The attendees were not violent--so much so that the locals pitched in to get them food.

Wasn't at Woodstock, but after hearing all the hoopla and the fact that it was only a 45min drive, was at Love Valley. a little disappointed
