pros. I imagine he already makes more than what we are paying Goodwin and I can't see us paying the DL coach more than the DC.

If we want a former Clemson player then getting Eason to leave his DL gig at Auburn and come back home is probably a good option.

Bates salary was double the average NFL assistant coaching salary. I don’t think money would remotely be the impediment.

The average assistant coach in the NFL makes around $400,000 per season. This is a huge increase even from a few years ago, according to ESPN.Feb 2, 2020

Bates was making $715,000

I think that article also said college football is pushing the NFL salaries and not vice versa.
