Truly believe these two would have hopped in the boat and gone with me. The one on the we left turned and walked right up to my driver side window but the peckerhead behind me BLEW HIS HORN before I could take a picture. And I couldn't catch the little pipsqueak in his Prius with a boat behind me!

The Game Biologists in Pennsylvania did a study that proved deer do know when hunting season begins and ends. You can google it. Pretty inteteresting. Confirms what we always knew.

Last week PA police found a live deer in the trunk of a car when they stopped it for a DUI. Any relation?

I have seen deer swimming across the lake. They are good swimmers. I see some most days off my porch. Killing them is not hunting.

teachers. I had just gotten my driver's license, and she would swing by our house to pick me up in the mornings for school, and let me drive her car (a FAST 1969 350 two door Malibu) the rest of the way to school. But, on this particular foggy morning, she was still driving, and I was in the passenger seat. All of a sudden, there was this brown FLASH, and a *whump*. She stopped the car, and we got out to inspect the damage. The deer had just clipped the passenger side headlights, small dent in the grille. I said, "Well, that's not so bad." Then, we both looked down the passenger side of the car, the deer had PANCAKED the door AND quarter panel on that side.
I felt bad for Sis, but not nearly as bad as I would have if EYE had been driving!
And again, just like you, I am very glad the deer was running, not jumping.
I always remember a picture I saw from years ago, where a MOOSE had its paws stuck through the back glass of a car. It was completely inside the car, and had killed the lady who was driving. That's what can happen when they go through the windshield.
That is why, when my wife called me crying about hitting the deer with the new SUV, my first words were "Did you or Matthew get HURT?" Cars can be repaired, no matter what. People cannot always be.
