I'm concerned that college bowl games (outside of the CFP games) are going the same way as the Pro Bowl. Who would have thought that the Pro Bowl (the best vs. the best) would have degraded into a touch football game? Such may be the trend with our bowl games. No longer is it the better teams being rewarded with an additional bowl game featuring your best players against theirs; and the fans getting to cheer/boast about their team one more time. Now it's simply a skeleton of our teams playing against each other with totally unpredictable outcomes. I might go as far as saying meaningless outcomes, but at least, we get a chance to have a few more practices for the coming season. It's just a little harder to justify spending big bucks for tickets/travel/hotels/food/etc. when we're not seeing the best of each team playing. Heck, James Madison didn't even have 1/2 of their coaching staff for their bowl game! $$ talks...

I'd only be interested if I was a minn or bowling green fan. I expect it's always been that way in the meaningless bowl games.

some time. I guess as long as they are profitable it will continue, but with so many players opting out now, that may take care of itself.

The bowl games need to move to the last week of April-1st week of May...

as a way of wrapping up spring practice and give us a better preview of what teams have returning for the next fall! They could still require six wins the prior season, to qualify for the bowl games. Just let the bowls select who they want in their games, from whoever is eligible.

I dont know about that, but they should allow scrimmages between schools.

When my tigers are playing I want them to win a bowl game just as much as any other game.
