Basketball coaches really don't matter

Give me good players with Corky from Life Goes On as the coach and he will beat John Wooden with inferior talent every day. We need to hire a rapper for head coach and just bring in a ton of one and done talent. We need someone like Jeezy as a coach and make every game a hip hop party with a game as a side show. We will kill people because of talent. This is true.

Coaching is critical. Notice how all the better teams have better coaches.

No they do not...they have better recruiters. Look at John Calipari, he just gets the best players. His scheme isn't any better than Joe Shmoe coaching church league. You, me, and everyone else in this board could coach UK recruits and beat Clemson 9 out of 10 times. Its not like football

ignoring. Offensive and defensive schemes aren't usually very complicated, but developing shooters and defensive players takes a talented coach. The majority of college players are still developing.

No, Brady missed the mark...badly. A key component of recruiting good players is having a very good head man and a brand for him to tout as a recruiting tool. I know we don't have the basketball brand...not sure about the head man. But I just don't see where outstanding players have signed on with bad head coaches. If they do, they do so unknowing and subsequent classes catch on. So he won't do it for long.
