Such a lady should not be exposed to the atrocities that the weird little nuts shall endure in Arizona. But if i must I'll cuddle her just to shield her eyes. Wait can the wife get mad if I'm cuddling Sam Ponder to shield her? I'll find out the hard way.

There are some chances a guy just has to take. That would be one of them.

SPOT THE BALL!
He obviously will lean towards OSU, but he's generally a good game caller and not to biased in his actual announcing. Especially because he has picked Clemson v Alabama for the Champ....
Honestly who's listening to the announcers on a New Year's Eve playoff game. Has no impact. Games on the big screen with the announcers tuned out by cheering and booze.

Run out of Clemson? When and how so? He does a fine job calling games. The Louisville game was amazing. I loved his emotion.

It was getting hard to live around them when he would give unbiased opinions.

This will be the 5th game this season that Herbie and Chris have called. Tigers are 4-0 so far.

He listed the acccg, vt. This will only be the 4tt Clemson game they've called this year. They called 5 last year also. I imagine they are getting used to calling Clemson games. That's another sign we've arrived. They are the college football "A" team.

I believe we had this broadcast team just 4 times last year - Notre Dame, Florida State, UNCheat and Bama. OU Orange Bowl was Nessler/Blackledge.
Will be 5 times this year once we make it to Tampa.
In related news, the coots should get Beth Mowins and Pam Ward as pbp announcers next year.

I personally hate how Herbie calls any game but on the Ohio State vs. Clemson sentiment - he's actually a huge fan and admirer of Clemson football. I don't think I've heard him do anything but praise us all year. The real question is, with his recent penchant for orange and purple... does he go with the orange or red tie!?

I think Fowler and Herbstreit do a fine job. Both get excited over great plays, regardless which team makes them. And both have been around long enough to know how to call a game as objectively as possible, IMO. It's not the announcers that bother me so much. It's the idiot talking heads on the silly talk shows that show their colors over and over.

This is the first year they didn't call one of our games since I can remember. Since at least 2008 or 2009.
