8:22

Sep 29, 2016, 2:12 PM

8:22 Saturday night in Death Valley..

Can you beat it? If you can, I wanna know how so I can go see it or do it!

I have noticed throughout the week that this "underdog" thing kind of pumps me up. Why does that matter you ask? Well my answer is if it's pumping me up and I don't get to do anything but yell like a moron Saturday, I can't even imagine how the players are feeling. It's finally a change, a little mix up. The first chance to beat a time we aren't favored against since Bama - it's urgency, it's loose, it's the little guy beating the big guy, it's the fun!

In my opinion we haven't been as awful as some would try to say, in fact I think we have been pretty good. Our defense has played unbelievably.. even though with BV that's not much of a surprise anymore. That dude has something in his veins that refuses to allow his boys to fail - he loses talent every year and answers by getting better. The offense on the other hand hasn't been as explosive as I believe it was the later half of last year. BUT.. I believe that changes.

We saw a glimpse of that beautiful little offense doing whatever it pleases the first half of last Thursday in ATL - we had our way. We comfortably (which I hate) cruised to a nice little road win. What I think is great about that, is the fact we were up enough to cruise in the second half - now for the prediction of change --> what you saw a glimpse of in the first half will be an all out full fledged hard working machine for 4 quarters on Saturday. The 40% of the playbook that I believe we have seen will be added right in with the other 60% that no one has seen - not even the all great Louisville. With that in mind, don't forget about our very on DW4.. he didn't forget how to throw a football, he's just been in my opinion a little too uptight. This weekend though (I'll remind you) we are UNDERDOGS, this will be possibly the first game he has played in at Clemson when an opposing teams player is getting more praise than him - this makes him the underdog.. if you are not a Clemson fan, that should scare you.

That being said I can't wait for 8:22. I can't wait to see Petrino looking like Brian Kelly when he sees those buses pull up. I can't wait for the return of our super man wearing number 4. I can't wait to see what BV has the boys jacked up on this week. If there's one thing I know it's this: Dabo has a plan, and Dabo's plans are good plans. WE WILL BE READY and you don't wanna miss it. Statements made and questions answered.
