as we have known it. I would love to see Clemson win it all. Again. Each season that passes from now on is going to be increasingly less recognizable than those we have come.to.love.

Maybe some day in the future we can look back and say some particular year or period was the final nail in the coffin. Maybe CFB will evolve into something better?!? I just know that I don’t like all the changes going on but at least for this coming year I will be loving Tiger FB, come what may.
Go Tigers!

I do have to agree with you on this. The 2023 season is the last of the 4 team playoff and we don't have all of the new expanded conference changes come into play until next season. We also have the expanded playoffs next season and with the SEC, B1G and Big 12-20 expanding, they will push for even more expanded playoffs thereafter.
For these reasons, it is a true statement that what we have been used to is definitely coming to an end. Please enjoy this season because it will indeed never look like this again.

Actually 2019 was the last season of the “modern era” CFB. The Covid season has an asterisk and then NIL and the open portal completely reshaped CFB. Everything we’re seeing now is just a shaking out of what started in 2020.

It's been gradually changing for a long time.

Whats so bad?

The field is still 120 yards long, 4 quarters, etc. Clemson will still have a team for us to root for every weekend. We will still play the chickens. As for the change, what does it matter? So, we are down a conference. No one watched that one any way or cried when the Big East went down. A couple conferences have more teams. who cares. it might mean good teams play against each other more often. could be the end of the cupcake games. The playoff will be bigger which puts more good vs good. It will give us the chance to play teams we have never played before or at least not in a long time. im looking right at you michigan, oregon, texas, oklahoma. and finally, it might mean we get to get out of the acc. this conference has horrible football. i wouldnt be caught dead watching syracuse, bc, gt, uva, pitt if they werent playing us.

think "sterile" to many long-time fans. Too far removed from amateurism. And that's from the TV Networks/Conferences all way the down.

I think it will be great every year and completely recognizable, maybe even better. We will see. It will still be great.

Need some beach front property in Kansas? I have some cheap. I don't know how the Big10 and the SEC will make their schedules but football fans should really be excited for games like Texas at Bama, Georgia at Oklahoma, Ohio State at Southern Cal and Oregon at Michigan. There will be a ton of huge games every year.

Funny how you didn't mention your team. Even with all of the benefits of SEC money, the coots will still suck.
