Clemson wide receiver commit Cornell Powell was electric in the Shrine Bowl on Saturday afternoon as he helped his the North Carolina team win a shootout 54-39 against the South Carolina squad.
It was the first win for North Carolina in the Shrine Bowl in four years. Powell had four receptions for 58 yards including a 27-yard touchdown in the first half and also returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown. He had 203 yards on three kickoff returns (68-yard average) during the game. Clemson running back commit Tavien Feaster had 14 rushes for 55 yards and a touchdown and three receptions for 11 yards. However, the 5-star prospect had two fumbles during the contest.
