Alabama is your new No. 1 in the 2020
247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings less than a week from the start of the early signing period (Dec. 18).
It's a narrow margin at the top, as the Crimson Tide picked up a recent commit to edge less than a single rating point ahead of Clemson (305.42-304.44), with the Tigers having 21 commits and the Crimson Tide, 24. LSU (299.93) and Ohio State (296.43) are not far behind. In the mix for a number of top prospects, Clemson can certainly pull ahead by next week around this time. According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, Clemson has a leading projection for two top-5 prospects in Justin Flowe and Jordan Burch, as well as wide receiver Xzavier Henderson (No. 59 overall) and safety Malcolm Greene (No. 299). Burch has a commitment date previously announced of Dec. 19. 247Sports has Flowe listed as committing on Dec. 18. Henderson is slated to commit at the US Army All-American game on Jan. 4. Greene is still listed as a LSU commitment.
